Joyner moved the mouth of Barney to what West was saying. During one of the auditions, Bob West, who was the voice of Barney at the time, was there and together they did improv while acting from the script. Joyner was very athletic and energetic during auditions, which the crew was not used to seeing. While driving to the audition, he noticed a bilboard that said "Breathe Life Into Your Vacation," which made him think about breathing life into Barney and he decided to be as energetic and animated as possible. The night before the audition, Joyner had a dream that Barney passed out and that he (Joyner) gave the purple dinosaur mouth-to-mouth CPR. Abrams sent him the first six videos of the Barney & the Backyard Gang series and Joyner would fall asleep no matter how hard he tried to view them. You can wear regular khaki pants since the duty belt is attaced to the underbelt with belt keepers, and not actually threaded throught the belt loops. One thing you don't have listed, but sort of mentioned when referring to the pants was a duty belt. ![]() Barney's shirt, like the 5.11 shirt, has pointed pocket flaps. One thing I noticed about Barney's shirt is that it doesn't have scalloped pocket flaps or military creases, while most uniform shirts do. Silver Tan is a pretty popular color and I think most uniform companies like Blauer, Fetchheimer, and Elbeco produce shirts and pants in that color. I would like to know where you found one.Īs for the shirts, I don't think you need to go with 5.11 shirts, but the one you've found looks pretty good. I looked for one at several uniform hat retailers, but couldn't find one.
